Background
Let's face it, spammers are bright and creative.
You could change your email address and notify most of your
contacts, but that's not the right answer. You could reply to
the hundreds of emails you get with "Remove" in the subject, but
honestly, I don't think that's EVER worked. In fact, we're
convinced it creates even more spam.
We looked around to see how the community was
handling spam. We found that many people were creating their
own rules and spending countless hours wasted trying to outsmart
spam one by one. But how can you keep up with hundreds a day?
And everyone is tired of leaning on the delete key all day long.
Wouldn't it be nice if you got you Inbox back?
Introducing:
The One Merchant Spam Filter
What does it do?
Overall consensus told us to provide the following:
- Remove spam from your Inbox,
- Remove known viruses from incoming mail,
- Provide a seemless solution with little or no end-user
maintenance,
- Have a less than 1 in 100,000 false positive
rate,
- Catch at least 95% of all spam,
- Provide this service to all email accounts within your domain
name.
How does it work?
One Merchant steps in! We have your mail sent to our Spam
Filter server first. Within seconds, we've evaluated the
message and determined whether or not it's considered spam. At that
point, we deliver your mail to your mail server.
From there, you receive your email like normal. By setting
up just one rule, all spam is moved into a subfolder called,
"Suspected Spam".
Now your Inbox is filtered and you can get back to business!
What is a "False Positive"?
Part of the problem with our spam filter solutions
is that they end up deleting some of your email messages that really
were not spam. When a spam filter declares an email as spam,
but you say it's not, that's called a FALSE POSITIVE.
Our spam filter does not delete emails. We
strive to minimize the number of false positives you receive by
constantly updating our global rules. Nevertheless, you should
periodically open the Suspected Spam folder and scan through the
list of messages just to make sure. If you do find one, please
let us know by forwarding a copy of the message to
notspam@onemerchant.com
so we can update our rules.

Testimonial:
I was just about to toss my computer because of the amount of spam I
received. Tried an outside spam filter, and it flagged my junk
mail AND my good mail too. AHHHH! Then I tried your spam
filter, and we get all our mail, and the spam has all but stopped.
You guys have the best system out there, and it is priced right.
Keep up the good work!
